Overview
The Best Kept Secret in North America…
The combination of world-class heliskiing and riding and luxurious lodging places Ruby Mountain Helicopter Skiing among the premier heliskiing operations in North America. The Ruby Mountain range, with peaks above 11,000 feet, is located in the high desert of the Great Basin between the Sierra Nevada to the west and the Wasatch mountains of Utah to the east. The snow conditions in the Rubies make for some of the greatest powder skiing in the world. Moisture laden storms coming out of the Pacific Northwest sweep across the high desert of the Great Basin and drop an abundance of dry powder. Whether you ski or ride, the 500 square miles of pristine wilderness provides limitless terrain, from wide open bowls to heart racing fall lines.
Ruby Mountain Helicopter Skiing’ lodging, dining and helicopter flight operations have been consolidated into the luxurious setting of Reds Ranch at the base of the Rubies. The lodge is patterned after the great hunting lodges of the northern Rockies and features 10 bedrooms in the main lodge. Each bedroom or suite is tastefully furnished, with private bathroom facilities. The main lodge with its stone fireplace and log structure also features a comfortable great room, billiards room, and library stocked with favorite novels.
