Everything about the place is magic. Majestic peaks straight up from the valley, deep soft blankets of snow, unlimited terrain, and not a soul in sight. They knew instantly this place had what it would take.
Big Mountain Heliskiing and Bella Coola Heli Sports now have exclusive access to over 2,200 square miles of heliskiing terrain. This means there is room here for over 200 ski resorts the size of Whistler/Blackcomb, but they never have more than 30 skiers in the area at one time. You can heliski here for weeks on end and never be on the same run twice or see another track.
Big Mountain Heliskiing flies the Astar B2 helicopter exclusively. This is the most versatile and reliable helicopter in the business, allowing for pick up and drop off in more locations and therefore opening up more choice in ski terrain. Each helicopter flies three groups of five clients. These small groups mean there is less waiting time as well as making the heliskiing dynamics more cohesive and intimate.
Access to Bella Coola is remarkably easy. It is only a one-hour, fifteen-minute flight from Vancouver and most guests are heliskiing and snowboarding both on their arrival and departure days. In fact many guests heliski on the day that they leave home.
